Miguel Edwardo "Mike" Maez went to sing with the angels and rejoice with the Lord on September 26, 2015. Mike was born on September 6, 1964 in Salt Lake City, UT, the son of Miguel Sr. and Arlene Maez.
Mike enjoyed being a huge part of his grandson's sports and being the twelfth Panther, playing his guitar, the outdoors, and, most of all, he enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. Mike had a big heart and would help anyone in need. He will truly be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his father, brother, son and mother-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Geraldine Maez; mother Arlene Maez; sons Daniel (Amanda) and Geno Maez; grandson Manuel Maez; and many brothers, sisters, family and friends.
Viewing will be from 5:30-7:00 pm, Sunday, October 4th at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St., in Farmington. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am, Monday, October 5 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2100 E. 20th St., in Farmington, with Father Frank Chacon as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Blanco. Pallbearers are Daniel Maez, Manuel Maez, Johnny Martinez, Mikie Maez, Jesse Martinez, Geno Maez, Armando Ibarra, Jr., Armando Ibarra, Sr., Leo Gutierrez, and Jose Lopez. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Maez, Nasario Salo, Juan Madrano, Michael Martinez, Cruz Wood, Tim Ford, Jamie Johnson, and Steven Sanchez.
Donations may be made in memory of "Mike Maez" to Wells Fargo Bank.
