Michael Wayne Neal, 59, of Farmington , passed away on Friday, Aug. 31, 2013, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington . He was born Sept. 5, 1953, in Clovis , the son of Robert Dos Neal and Sondra Lee Allen Neal. Mike was a dedicated father, teacher and husband. He taught at Tse' Bit Ai' Middle School in Shiprock for 25 years. Mike had a passion for teaching and a love for his students. He loved to play the guitar and sing music of all kinds, along with teaching his talent to many students. Mike had two children and wife whom he loved and was an incredible parent and loving husband too. He will be missed by many. Mike was preceded in death by his son Jeffery Neal, parents Sandra and Robert Neal.
He leaves behind his wife, Joan Neal; daughter, Samantha Neal; sister, Terry Peasnall; many students and dear friends who lives he touched. Cremation will take place. A memorial service for Mike will be on Mike's 60th birthday, which he almost made it, will be at 6 p.m. today, Sept. 5, at the Salvation Army Church, 319 W. Broadway Ave. in Farmington, with Lt. Bill Simon officiating. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all relatives and friends who were so kind and supportive during this time. Your kindness will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army, 319 W. Broadway Ave. , Farmington , NM 87401.
