Max Chavez 77, of Farmington passed away October 14, 2013. Max was born on October 06, 1936 to Delvbino and Rosa Chavez.
Max served in the Army and after marrying worked as a mechanic and then as a
Maintenance Supervisor for Central Consolidated Schools. After retirement he became active helping at St. Mary's Church with the Knights of Columbus.
In his free time Max enjoyed spending time with his family. If you couldn't find Max at church or hanging out with loved ones then it was a sure thing that he was at the golf course; more times than not accompanied by his great grandchildren Timothy and Angelyna.. Max brought a smile, laughter and happiness to all he knew . He will be greatly missed but not forgotten.Max is preceded in death by his wife Elsie Chavez, his daughter Lena Lattin, and two brothers. Max is survived by his daughters Juanita (Ralph) Lobato, Lisa Campbell and son-in-law Ken Campbell along with many brothers and sisters.Max is survived by several grandchildren Dolores( Anthony) Anaya, Max, Eric, Kassie, Tina, Tony, and his great grandchildren Tim and Angi. A Rosary will be held Sunday October 20, 2013 at 7:00 pm at St.Mary's Catholic Church, A Mass will be held Monday 10/21/2013 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ralph Lobato, Ken Campbell, Anthony Anaya, Tony Lattin, Max Lobato, Eric Campbell. Max's care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington New Mexico 404 W. Arrington Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
