Mary Jane Gould, 87, of Farmington and most recently a resident of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 in Scottsdale. Mary Jane was born January 4, 1930 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the daughter of Winnie Davis Higgins and Early Washington Higgins.
Mary Jane loved her family. She spent her life as an amazing daughter, sister, mother and Grammy. Her unconditional love of her family never faltered. Mary Jane was a true and loyal friend to those lucky enough to know her. She always worried about those in need and never forgot to make cinnamon candy and peanut brittle for everyone she could think of at Christmas. Living in Farmington for 42 years, one of her joys was the special weekends she spent with her family at her place on the San Juan River. Mary Jane was proud to serve her community as a Farmington Red Coat and was highly respected as part of the independent insurance industry for over 40 years. She spent her last few years in Scottsdale, Arizona and was blessed by very dear and beloved friends. Mary Jane's laugh and smile lit our world. Shug will be in our hearts forever.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents Winnie Davis Higgins and Early Washington Higgins; brother, Douglas Earl Higgins; sister, Hazel Higgins Hunter and a granddaughter, Allison Harrington.
She is survived by her daughters Cheri Gould and Patricia Gould Littlefair; sons, Shadie Leland Gould and wife Candace, Terry Gould and Terry Lee McFadden; brother James "Jimmy" Higgins; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Angela and Rob Loewen and their children Dylan and Drew; Brandon and Gina Littlefair and their children Alex, Kenny, Jason and Brenna; Allison Harrington's daughters Madey Brooks and Bryn Malan; Stacy and Shorty Davis and their children Justin and Peyton; Morgan and Roman Lucero and their children Brielle, Romie, Kinsley Jane, Tori Gould and her children Ansel, Zoe and Hudson; Sydney and Tyler Bogart and child to be "Baby Sawyer"; Megan Gould and her fiancé Aaron Maestas.
Visitation for Mary Jane is Tuesday, April 18th at 12:00 noon till 2:00 p.m. at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St. in Farmington. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Stucker officiating. Interment will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave., in Farmington.
