Funeral services for Mark M. Tsosie, 85, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Cope Memorial Chapel in Gallup, NM. The Rev. Ray Nez will officiate. Burial will be on a family plot in Coyote Canyon.
Tsosie died March 16, 2016, in Albuquerque. He was born September 10, 1930, in Pinon, Arizona.
Tsosie attended up to third grade at Pinon Boarding School. He joined the Santa Fe Railroad and worked there for 42 years. After retiring he was a rancher in Coyote Canyon. He was married to his wife Annie Tsosie for 53 years and loved the Denver Broncos and watching game shows and WWE wrestling.
Survivors include his wife Annie M. Tsosie, of Coyote Canyon; sons Alfred Tsosie, Michael Tsosie, Mitchell Tsosie, Matthew Tsosie and Manuel Tsosie, all of Coyote Canyon; daughters Sharon Warren and Charlotte Antonio, both of Coyote Canyon; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Ta'neeszahnii Tsosie and Clah Nez Bitsi Tsosie; brothers George Tsosie, Otto Tsosie, Harry Tsosie and Hoskie Tsosie; and sisters Mary Tsosie and Betty Jane Tsosie.
Pallbearers will be Erick Tsosie, Kyle Antonio, Ugene Tsosie, Anthony Olguin, Noah Manuelito and Isaiah Tsosie.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Annie M. Tsosie's residence.
Cope Memorial Chapel of Gallup, NM is entrusted with arrangements.
