Mark A. Tafoya, 59, of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, in Albuquerque. He was born July 10, 1957, in Farmington the son of Juan A. and Rosa Tafoya.
Mark graduated from Farmington High School and from New Mexico State University. He worked at OSO Biopharmaceuticals in Albuquerque.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Rosa Tafoya; brothers, Nestor (Torry) Sanchez, Ramon (Mony) Tafoya and William Sanchez. He is survived by his companion, Gloria Garcia and family of Albuquerque; sisters-in-law, Dora Sanchez and Emma Tafoya; brothers, Dave (Jane) Tafoya and Abel Tafoya, Larry Sanchez of Velarde, N.M.; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Cremation has taken place and a rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, 414 N. Allen Ave. in Farmington. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Parish with Father Jeff King as celebrant. Interment of ashes will follow the service at the Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington.
Honorary pallbearers are Mark's family from American Legion Post 13 in Albuquerque and Conrad (Sonny) Martinez.
