Marjorie Standerwick, 81, passed away after a battle with breast cancer on April 6th, 2017. She was born January 31, 1936, in Albion, Nebraska, and raised on a farm in the area. She married Bill Standerwick in 1955, and had three children; Linda, Stephanie and Steven. The family lived in Tucumcari, New Mexico, for 9 years, then moved to Farmington in 1966. Marjorie was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary for Living Word Church and Mc Gee and Associates. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She also sang with the Golden Tones. She loved gardening and entered flowers in the San Juan County Fair. Her life evolved around her kids, grandkids, great grandkids and friends as well as her cats and dog. She is survived by her daughter, Linda; son Steve and wife Pamela, Bill Standerwick and wife Karen; grandchildren, Adrianne Forsythe and husband Denton, Justin Johnson, Julie Hall and husband Justin and Tiffany, Tyler and Tanner Standerwick. She is also survived by great grandchildren; Cadence, Cherish and Lucas Forsythe, Oliver Johnson and Laney Hall. She considered Alberta Wethington and Nora Lujan to be her daughters and Alberta's daughter, Melanie Leeson; and her son Shawn as grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother and daughter Stephanie. Funeral services will be held Monday April 10 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Brian Adams officiating. Marjorie requested that everyone wear purple, her favorite color.
