Marion A. Schane, 93, of Hesperus, Colo., died on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 in Hesperus, Colo. He was born Aug. 4, 1919 in Bennington, Okla., to William and Luvenna Schane.
Marion was WWII veteran of the 5th Army Air Corps with tours in the Philippines, Luzon and Japan.
He was a Master Electrician with the Four Corners Power Plant and belonged to the IBEW Local 611 Union. He was a Mason for 65 years and belonged to Animas Lodge #15.
Marion was preceded in death by his son, Dolph Schane.
He is survived his wife, Vera Schane; son, Jerry Schane; brother, Bruce Schane, of Louisiana; his sister, Ava Smith, of Texas; three granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A grave side service, with Military and Masonic honors, will be 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, in Memory Gardens, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.
A potluck reception will be at VFW Post #2182 in Farmington.
