Lynda Laree Davis, 61, of Flora Vista, died on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, in Flora Vista. She was born Dec. 31, 1951, in Farmington, to Garth and Myrta Bingham.
Lynda graduated from Aztec High School in 1970, where she was a member of the Pep Club. She continued to support the Aztec community for the next forty plus years. She generously donated her time by coaching youth cheerleading and softball and serving as a host mom for the CMWS for over twenty years. Lynda worked as the Executive Director and as a board member at the Aztec Boys and Girls Club; where, for over a decade, she touched the lives of many people. Lynda bowled for over thirty years. She made many friends who became part of her family. On Nov. 24, 1973, Lynda married her best friend, Glen Davis and together they raised three children. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She had a beautiful smile that matched her spirit. She left behind so many who loved her and who are better people for having known her.
Lynda was preceded in death by her father, Garth Bingham; brother, Gary Bingham and her grandmother, Leila Richardson.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Davis; son, Richard (R.T.) Davis; daughters, Kellie Davis and Cassie Davis; her mother, Myrta Bingham; brothers, Ronnie Bingham and Wade Bingham and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, at the Church of Latter-day Saints, 505 N. Oliver Drive in Aztec, with James Foster officiating.
Pallbearers are Jerry Rector, Joe Greenleaf, Ronnie Bingham, Denver (D.W.) Clelland, Jason Johnson and Chris Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are Wade Bingham, Joe Templeton and Ron Sipe.
