Lydia Cervantes

Lydia Cervantes, 56, of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. She fought her battle with cancer with the strength from within, never shedding a tear over her illness, instead telling us we are privileged to fight another day. Lydia was born on March 5, 1958 to Rafael Reyes and Virginia Delgado in El Oso, Namiquipa, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Lydia loved life to the fullest, always happy. She was known for her faith in God. She was married 42 years and raised 5 beautiful daughters. Lydia was the best mother in the world, leaving a legacy of motherhood, not only to her daughters, but also to many others. She was a devoted and loving wife and partner. Lydia showed true love like no other. Her and Ramon conquered the world together. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents and sister Hortencia Reyes. She is survived by her husband Ramon; daughters Vicky (Casey), Florizel (Jose), Ruby (Bobby), Zania (RC) and Lydia (Oscar); brothers Guillermo Reyes, Roman Reyes, Abdon Reyes and Alfonso Reyes; sisters Angelica Reyes, Armida Reyes, Obdulia Reyes; and grandchildren Jade, Miguel, Perla, Alexis, Kassandra, and Ramoncito. Viewing will be from 5-7 pm today, Friday, December 12th at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St., in Farmington. The rosary will be recited following the viewing at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 13th at St, Mary's Catholic Church, 2100 e. 20th St., in Farmington, with Father Frank Chacon as celebrant. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St., in Farmington. Pallbearers will be Guillermo Reyes, Abdon Reyes, Roman Reyes, Ramiro Delgado, Lalo Moreno, Estevan Montelego, Yuren Cervantes. Arrangements are with Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E.
