Loyetta Mae Ashbaugh was born to Mack and Ellouise Johnson in Fields, NM on Oct 06,1934
Loyetta devoted her life to education and learning. She taught elementary students here in Farmington, as well
as, in Arizona and Colorado. Many of her years were spent teahing at Pinon, Arizona. After
retirement she continued to teach by assisting great nieces and nephews in their education. She
also loved to te achothers about the love of Jesus Christ through her church involvement. She
continued to teach love to others during her stay at The Bridge and Bee Hive homes in Farmington, NM
Her family would like to thank the staff at these facilities for their perseverance in caring diligently for
Loyetta. We also thank her lifelong friends, Tommy and Gloria Brown, for having been a solid
rock of care and encouragement to her.She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Ashbaugh, her
parents, sister Archie Lou Adams.She is survived by her nephews: Don (Julia)Adams of Phoenix, AZ,
Brett (Vickie) Adams of Bloomfield, NM, Shawn(Lavon) Adams of Farmington, NM, Terryn (Dana)
Adams of Rock Hill, SC, Brother-in-law: Donald C.(Carol) Adams of Farmington, NM. A Memorial
Service is set for January 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Farmington, NM with
Pastors: Jeff Moody and Steve Ballew. Loyetta was laid to rest on Thursday January17,2013 at
Greenlawn Cemetery with family present. Pallbears were Shawn, Brett, Dillon and Rachel Adams,Jeff
Moody and Steve Ballew. Arrangements were with Cope Memorial Chapel 505-327-5142
