Lois Elizabeth (Brown) Rogers
April 27, 1920 - September 2, 2015
Lois Elizabeth (Brown) Rogers, 95, a resident of Farmington passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at her home. Lois was born April 27, 1920 in Plainview, Texas the daughter of G.R. and Grace Brown.
She was a faithful and devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church since 1966 and volunteered in many capacities there. Lois loved reading books and doing embroidery handwork. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lois had an unwavering faith in the Lord.
Lois was preceded in death by her sweetheart her husband Jake Rogers; her parents G.R. and Grace Brown and her brother G.R. "Shorty" Brown.
She leaves behind her son Read Rogers; daughter Ann Jones; grandchildren John Duke, Doug (Tonya) Duke, Shawna Rogers, Jeff (Jennifer) Rogers; 8 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, special friend Roberta Mulnix and many dear church friends.
Funeral services for Lois are Tuesday September 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 211 W. 20th St., in Farmington with Pastor John Preston officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens where she will be laid to rest with her husband Jake.
Pallbearers are John Duke, Doug Duke, Jeff Rogers, Richard Duke, Jacob Duke, and Dennis Boushele.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Lois' name to Navajo Missions or to your charity of choice.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to PALS, Northwest New Mexico Seniors and Guardian Angel Hospice for their care of Lois, they are very awesome! Your kindness will always be remembered.
