Lois Morin

Lois Mae Legate Morin, 74, of Bloomfield, passed away October 25, 2012 in Farmington. She was born January 15, 1938 in San Antonio, TX to Howard H. Legate, Sr. and Ethel Mae Click Legate.
Lois was a graduate of Waco (Texas) High School and the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston. She was a registered nurse for 50 years, including nursing supervisor at Gerald Champion Hospital (NM) and Sacred Heart Hospital (WA). She also was the director of a Crisis Pregnancy Center (AR) and Bloomfield's Alternate Municipal Judge for six years. She was a loving, caring, and giving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She lived her life as a Christian and was a member of First Baptist Church in Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by a son, Travis Shaw, her parents, Howard H. Legate, Sr. and Ethel Mae Click Legates and grandparents, Arthur Lamar and Lucy Alice Click and Harry Monroe and Bertha Alma Legate. She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Morin, sons, Richard K. Morin, James L. (Laura) Homer III, Denis B. (Sandra) Morin, Lamar H. (Lynn) Morin, R. Patrick (Erica) Shaw and daughters, Cheryll A. (Kurt) Marchalk, N. Lynne (Jeff) Lester and Heidi K. Ellis. Also surviving are brothers, Howard H. (Cathy) Legate, Jr. and Gail Lamar (Sue) Legate, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Lois will be held on Monday, October 29th at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Bloomfield Worship Center with Pastor Lamar Morin officiating.
