Lindsey R. Jackson-Dawson, 37, of Kirtland, a devoted mother, wife and sister, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014. She was born May 10, 1977, in Farmington. She is survived by her dedicated partner Ryan Dawson of 20 years, and daughters Raven Rose, Kira Dawn and Rhianna. Her parents were Robert (deceased) and Genevieve Jackson and siblings: sisters, Charmaine Jackson, Nicole Jackson-Fletcher, and Shelby Jackson; and brothers, Phildon and Dustin Jackson.
Lindsey was a courageous, bright young woman, full of life, love and laughter with a beautiful soul and a matching smile. Her greatest joys were raising her daughters, singing and homemaking. Lindsey's personal favorites included listening to audio books, watching movies, swimming, traveling and exploring new adventures. She attended Kirtland Central High School and the New Mexico School for the Visually Handicapped in Alamogordo, where she received several awards in track and choir. Lindsey was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A public viewing will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. today at Cope Memorial in Kirtland. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 473 Road 6100 in Kirtland, followed by a reception at the Chapter House in Fort Defiance, Ariz.
