Lillie Jones

September 18, 1951 — November 1, 2014

Lillie Jeanette (Gardner) Jones, 63, known by many as Jeanette, J.J. and most importantly mom and grandma, lost her battle to cancer and entered into heaven on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, with her family by her side.
During her journey with breast cancer, Lillie Jeanette always brought her own sunshine to those around her. It did not matter how much pain she was in that day, if she was feeling blue, or just not feeling well she always brought laughter, kind words, and an amazing strength to every situation. Lillie Jeanette blessed all those fortunate to be in her presence and touched all those she came in contact with.
Lillie Jeanette was born Sept. 18, 1951, in Wheeler, Texas, to Vernon and Rose Gardner. She was the fifth of eight children born into the Gardner family. The family relocated to Monticello Utah, where Lillie Jeanette graduated from high school and later gave birth to her daughter Kristin (Brock) Kee and son Gene Brock.
She is loved and missed by her daughter Kristin Kee; son and daughter-in-law Gene and Christine Brock; son-in-law Kenneth Kee and seven grandchildren, Christin, Payton, Baillie, Walker, and Raif Kee, Shelby and Trey Brock; and two great-grandchildren, Jay Hejny-Maynard Jr. and Camille Poling, brother and sister-in-law, John and Jody Gardner and many nieces, nephews; and family friends. She is preceded in death by her father, mother and six siblings.
Lillie Jeanette did not want a service but wanted her family and friends to celebrate her life. A small family gathering to celebrate her life with lunch following, will be at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, at Los Rios Café. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation made to San Juan Medical Foundation in memory of Lillie Jeanette Jones, P.O. Box 110, Farmington 87499. Lillie's care is entrusted to Alternative Choice, 804 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington, 505-325-9611 tel:505-325-9611.
