Leroy Duncan, 75, of Fruitland, passed away Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was born Jan. 30, 1942, in Farmington. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Leroy was very proud and honored to have served his country for over 25 years. He was in the Seabees, U.S. Airforce and Airforce Reserve. He was a member of the Patriot Guard. He worked at APS. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gun collecting and traveling; especially traveling with his wife, Melba Duncan. He would keep up to date with politics and current events. He rode motorcycles. Leroy gave awesome motorcycle rides to his grandchildren whom he loved to spoil.
Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Duncan. He is survived by his son, Alex Duncan; daughters, Heather Begay and Mindy Miles; grandchildren, Kaden Begay, Lilah Begay, Jacob Duncan, Angela McKinney, Vanessa DeSoto, Brenton Taft and Brianna Fallon.
A funeral service for Leroy will be at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 14 at First Baptist Church of Kirtland, 17 Road 6500 in Kirtland with Pastor Brett Puckitt officiating. Burial to follow at the Kirtland-Fruitland Cemetery, 59 Road 6575 in Kirtland.
Pallbearers are Alex Duncan, Bob Begay, Jacob Duncan, Kaden Begay, Anthony DeSoto and Edward Begay.
