Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend Laura Ann (King) Anaya, 61, of Farmington passed away on May 14, 2014. She was born on April 16, 1953, in Coleman , Texas to Thurman Ray and Betty Laverne ( Thames ) King. She was the fourth of fifteen children. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1971. Laura enjoyed bowling and was the league secretary for many years for multiple leagues. She started bowling at the age of 19 and continued until the age of 60. Laura had a great love for music and was Keith Urban's biggest fan. But the greatest love of her life was her family. She was a proud grandmother who cherished her grandchildren and kept them close to her heart. She hosted many family gatherings and was an amazing cook. She was well known for her fudge. Her distinct laughter was infectious and could brighten up anyone's day. She was preceded in death by her mother Betty King, maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her father Thurman Ray King, her 4 sisters and 10 brothers: Sherri Norton, Sharla Toward (Robert), Jana Cummins (Tim), Leslie Nagel (Phil), John King, Mike King (Marie), Gary King (Verleen), David King (Patty), Kevin King (Donna), James King, Chis King, Brian King, Mark King (Angie), Nick King (Brandi), her husband Larry Anaya, her 8 children: Eric King (Kyla), Melissa King, Courtney Anaya, Shannon Anaya, Kammi Anaya, Twins Dominic and Cameron Anaya, Donovan Anaya, 12 grandchildren: Preston, Monica, K-Jay, Brett, Brittney, Brycson, Brook-lyn, Destiny, Mason, Tamia, Aaliyah, Jeremiah, 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. Cremation will take place and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16th at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, 414 N. Allen Ave. in Farmington. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Laura will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17th at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, 414 N. Allen Ave. with Father Timothy Farrell as celebrant. A reception will be held directly after the mass in the Family Hall at Sacred Heart Parish. Honorary pallbearers: Dominic, Cameron and Donovan Anaya, James King, Eric King, K-Jay King and Aubrey Tapia. Inurnment services will follow at 1:30 at Memory Gardens. She was loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Laura will forever be remembered for her beautiful spirit, kind heart who always put others before herself.
