Larry Robert Goff

Farmington-Larry Robert Goff, 61, beloved husband, father, son, and brother was called to his eternal resting place on December 21, 2021. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Roads Community Church in Farmington with Pastor Dave West and Pastor Eli Wyatt officiating. Larry was born on November 1, 1960 to Marion and Maxine Goff in Farmington. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sheri Goff; daughter, Donella Goff; son, Patrick Goff; mother Maxine Goff; sister, Linda Goff, and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Goff and brother, Dewayne Goff.

As a child, Larry was a very active in 4H and his church youth group. He graduated from FHS in 1979. He continued his education at San Juan College where he earned his associates degree and at New Mexico State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. He then became a 4H Agent for Lea County. On July 6, 1985, he married Sheri Jacoby. Five years later, they started their own family. He and family moved back to Farmington in 1995. Larry worked in the oilfield for many years beginning with Occidental Petroleum and ending with Enterprise Products.

Larry had many hobbies and interests which he loved to share with family and friends. Getting certified to become an Equine Therapist for Remedy Reins was his most recent. He was so excited to be able to use his deep love and knowledge of horses to help children with special needs.

Larry was a Godly man a member of Cross Roads Community Church where he served in many ways. As a greeter, he welcomed everyone with a smile, firm handshake, and big bear hugs. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend with a contagious laugh and a great sense of humor. A life well lived to the glory of Jesus Christ. A man admired and respected by all he met. He will be dearly missed.
