Larry Douglas Deal

November 25, 1941 — March 30, 2017

Larry Douglas Deal, 75, of Farmington entered into his eternal home to be with His Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He was born in Okla. City on Nov. 25, 1941 to Virgil and Jackie Deal. He graduated from Sterling High School in 1959. He moved to Potter, Nebraska, from there joined the Navy and served in Viet Nam. Larry was well known in Farmington as a salesman from the Gas Company to Sears, and automobiles. Chances are if you lived in Farmington long he probably sold you something! He was more than a fan of baseball, tennis, racquetball and gardening. He was a fierce competitor. He coached the Farmington Team for the Connie Mack World Series in 1985. Larry was a man of great faith and had a deep love for his family and Emmanuel Baptist Church. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Jackie Deal, one son, Michael, one grandson, and one great granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, one son, Paul and daughters Michelle and Christina. Additional survivors include two brothers and four sisters, eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Larry had a large extended family. A Celebration of life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 211 W. 20th, Farmington, NM, Saturday, April 8th at 10:00 am. In Lieu of flowers donations can be given to WALK to END Alzheimers Team Life Care for the Cure, P.O. Box 21400, Albuquerque, NM 87154.
