Kyle Cyrus Mason, 31, of Upper Fruitland, died on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, in Farmington. He was born Nov. 19, 1980 in Shiprock,
to David J. Mason, Dale Smallcanyon and step-father, Sam Begay. He was born to Hanaaghanii and born for Ashii.
Kyle collected Hulk comic books and the action figures. He graduated from
Coconino High School in Flagstaff, Ariz. He had taken some college classes.
He worked for Bloomfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where he was the best CNA
He was an avid "Broncos fan" and he was everyone's best friend.
Kyle was a warm and loving person.
He was the Deputy Warden of his church, St. Michael's in Upper Fruitland.
Kyle was preceded in death by his dad.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Mason; mother, Dale Smallcanyon;
step-father, Sam Begay; Wilder Begay; two step-brothers; sister,
April (Carlos) Montano; maternal grandparents, Wilder and Marie
Smallcanyon and paternal grandmother, Alice Mason.
A funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 22,
at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1257 Mission Ave. in Farmington, with Father Kerry Neuhardt officiating.
burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington.
Please join the family for the reception in the basement of All Saints Episcopal Church.
Pallbearers are Anson Hurley, Edgert Silversmith, Phelanzo Bedonie,
Darwin Mason, Wilder James Begay and Noel Mason.
Arrangements are with Cope Memorial Chapel, 458 County Road 6100, in Kirtland 505-598-9636.
