Kimberly D. Payne
April 6, 1966 - July 6, 2017
Our beloved wife, mom, grandmother, and daughter, Kimberly Dawn Payne, 51, of Aztec, went to be with our Lord and Savior Thursday, July 6, 2017, in Farmington. She was born April 6, 1966, in Albuquerque, the daughter of Bill and Pam Winter.
Kimberly graduated high school in 1984 in Bloomfield where she met the love of her life, working at the Triangle Cafe, Anthony Payne. They married April 7, 1984. They were blessed with three beautiful daughters, Meghan, Amber and Brittany. Those three girls were her life.
Kimberly became a teacher's aide in 1992, at McCoy Elementary in Aztec, where she met her closest friends. She retired after 15 years to become a grandmother.
After raising her daughters she went on to further her education, May 10, 2008, at San Juan College, with her liberal arts associate degree.
Kimberly's pride and joy were her four grandchildren, Brodie (8), Kaedynce (5), Hailee (7), and Annabelle (4). She formed an unbreakable bond with those four babies. They will carry on her legacy with the same grace and compassion she showed them.
Kimberly's greatest strength was the love she had for our Heavenly Father. All could see the light of the Lord shining through her. Her strength was an inspiration to everyone she met.
Kimberly is survived by her husband Anthony Payne; daughters Meghan (Kenny) Light, Amber Payne, Brittany (Cory) Kitchens; parents Bill and Pam Winter; brothers Kevin (Grace) Winter and Alan Winter; 4 grandchildren Brodie and Kaedynce Light and Hailee Payne and Annabelle Kitchens and many dear friends.
We would like to thank Dr. Kazmi and the oncology nurses who took amazing care of her. As well as the PCU nurses who became family.
A funeral service for Kimberly will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 11 at the Oasis Church, 1601 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington with Pastors Randy Joslin and Mark Maul officiating. She will then be laid to rest at the Aztec Cemetery, 700 Chamisa Ave. in Aztec.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kimberly's memory to San Juan Oncology, 735 W. Animas, Farmington, NM 87401.
