Kellie Jo Nightingale, 55, of Bloomfield, passed away on June 4, 2013 after fighting a long battle with cancer. Kellie was born July 17, 1956 in Chambley, France to Mildred and Frank Shipman. Frank was a career man in the Air Force and the family lived throughout Europe and the United States before eventually settling in Orlando, Florida. Kellie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dan Shipman. She is survived by her husband, Jack Nightingale, step-daughter, Jordanna Nightingale and three sisters, Rayme Browning (Jeff), Risa Quiles (Henry) and Linda Britton. Kellie will be remembered for her love of animals, particularly her horses and dogs. She always had a special place in her heart for strays. Kellie was a member of the Zetta Gamma Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and attended the First United Methodist Church of Farmington. Kellie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and participated in numerous women's Bible studies.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10th at First Methodist Church, 808 N. Monterey Ave., in Farmington. Kellie's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home 103 E. Ute Street, Farmington, 505-325-8688.
