Julia (Barrera) Villarreal

January 28, 1921 — June 11, 2014

Julia B. Villarreal, 93 of Farmington entered into rest on Wednesday June 11, 2014 She was born January 28, 1921 in Rio Grande City, Texas, to Indalecio and Josefa Barrera. Julia married the love of her life Fidencio Villarreal in 1946; she was widowed a few years thereafter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and five sisters. Our beloved Grandma Tia is survived by her niece and nephew, Josie and Terry Tobey of Farmington; their children Rachel Garcia (Alec Garcia), Robert Tobey and John Tobey, Jr., many caring nieces and nephews and dear friends. She loved to sew and sewed many of her own clothing without a pattern. Visitation for Julia will be held at 3:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. on Monday June 16, at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., a Rosary will follow at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, June 17th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Parrish, 2100 East 20th St. in Farmington with Father Frank Chacon as celebrant. Cremation will follow and innichement will take place at St. Mary's columbarium at a later date. Julia's services are entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, (505) 325-8688.
