Johnie B. Campbell age 73 born March 24, 1942 passed away May 3, 2015 at his home with his family all around him. He was a longtime resident, well known and respected business owner in the community and surrounding local areas. In the early 1960's he along with his father Arthur B. Campbell built Art's Truck Service which later became known as Campbell Industries, Inc. He was very generous and forth coming with his knowledge in the trucking profession
and his opinions. A celebration of his life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, May 11 at the Kingdom Hall, 5661 College Blvd. in Farmington. For many years of his life he indulged in airplanes and flying. In the mid 1970's he began flying single engine airplanes then twin engines until finally ultra lights. He enjoyed yearly fishing trips with his dad, had a natural talent for wood working and always loved working outdoors. When he retired in 2003 he and Wynona, his wife of 30 years, enjoyed traveling to Alaska and Canada. They both loved seeking new adventures, camping, fishing and spending time with family at their property in Texas they called "The Great Valley." Together as a blended family they parented six children (thank goodness not all in the same house at once) Mike (Kim) Campbell, Dana Campbell, Darla (Steve) Campbell-Smith, Johnny Len Campbell, Steve(Becca) Mattingley, and Mark (Julia) Mattingley. Along with 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He will always be remembered by his grandkids as Gramps. Famous to them for making them smart by giving them "smart pills" (candy) and for the numerous times he'd watch with them Jurassic Park movies so loud it would make the windows rattle and floor shake.
