John Floyd Harrelson, Jr. 05/03/62 – 06/16/23: John was an electrician by trade. He began his career at B & G Electric and also worked for Meridian Oil and Monster Electric. He was an electrician at San Juan Regional Medical Center for 13 years before retiring. He is survived by his parents, John and Barbara Harrelson, sister Sabrina Matchulat, brother Chris Harrelson, four nephews, Jesse Hawkins, Justin Hawkins, Adam Harrelson and Nick Harrelson, his son, Casey, and daughter Cassie. His closest friend was David Standifer, an acquaintance since childhood, loyal friend to the end. John had impeccable manners and always acknowledged the kindness of others, returning in kind. He was known to have a willing heart and skilled hand when help was needed. He lived to serve others.
John was a talented artist of wood. His engineering and inventive ideas amazed others. His mind never rested. He loved gardening and creating cactus arrangements. He always had some project in the works. John was known for his physical strength. John lost his battle with cancer but won the war of a full life. John has been cremated and a private service has been held. The family is thankful for the care of the team at Basin Hospice.
