Jimmy graduated from Aztec High School in 1965, served in the U. S. Army in Viet Nam 1966-1968, was a journeyman diesel mechanic at BHP from 1980 until retirement in 2008. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Brown Jacobs; son, David Jacobs and wife Deanna of Farmington; daughter, Lisa Haws and husband, Neil of Aztec; son-of-the-heart, Nic Conroy, of Gunnison, Colo.; three grandchildren, Derek and Brookllynn Haws and Tyler Jacobs; parents-in-law, Carl and Doris Brown; siblings, Pamela (Butch) Harris, Mitchell (Liz) Jacobs, Don (Chris) Jacobs; brothers-in-law, Marty (Darlene) Brown and Danny Brown; extended family members and many dear friends including brothers-in-heart, Allen Adkins and Dennis Hansel. A memorial service in honor of Jimmy will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 14, at First Baptist Church, 121 N. Auburn, Farmington, with Pastor Keith Berryman officiating.
