Jimmy Cloud, 66, of Farmington, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, in Farmington. He was born July 21, 1948, in Shiprock, to Jim and Beth Cloud. Jimmy graduated from Shiprock High School in 1968. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in January of 1975. He enjoyed spending time talking and lending advice to his two sons. He also enjoyed being with his grandchildren and his two great-grandchildren. His hobbies included yard work, cooking for his family and his grandbabies. He also enjoyed taking walks, listening to and singing Elvis Presley songs and working on his El Camino. He was there for all and was a great father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather. he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife Bertha Ann Cloud; son Christopher Creighton Cloud; his parents; brothers, Cecil R. Cloud and Benjamin Cloud; and sisters, Cecelia Washburn, Priscella Cloud, Mary Beth Cloud and Darlene R. Cloud. He is survived by sons, Charles C. Cloud, Roland Peshlakai and Rick Peshlakai; daughters, Debbie Peshlakai and Dea Barber; sisters, Marlene S. Cloud, Gloria J. Cloud and Virginia A. Joe; grandchildren, Denise Yazzie, Dominique Yazzie, ShiNasha Barber, Tulee Barber, ShiZohnii Barber, Kendall Peshlakai, Raelynn Peshlakai, Keisha Peshlakai and Raven Peshlakai; and great-grandchildren, Jayceon Lopez and Elena Peshlakai. A visitation will be at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 22, at Cope Memorial Chapel of Farmington. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington. A reception will be at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 1257 Mission Ave. in Farmington.
