Jesus "Chacho" Monclova, 75, of Farmington, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2 in Farmington.
Jesus was born in Madera, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Refugio Monclova and Maria DeJesus Rios on July 10, 1942. He grew up in Mexico in the cities of Madera and Juarez, he moved to the United States in 1968 where he met the love of his life, Linda. They married and started a beautiful family and life together. In 1987 he became a naturalized US citizen. Jesus worked in the construction and roofing industry for many years. He also worked at the local power plants and was an avid auto mechanic. He was most comfortable in his small woodshop in the back of his property where he constructed beautiful jewelry boxes and intricate wooden crosses. He was an usher where he attended services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus and was a member of the local Labor Union 16. Jesus loved life but most of all he loved his family, he will forever be missed.
Jesus was preceded in death by his parents, Refugio Monclova and Maria DeJesus Rios; his brother, Manuel Monclova; and his granddaughter, Natalie Lyn Monclova. He is survived by his wife, Linda Monclova; his sons, Ruben (Jeanie) Monclova, Daniel (Cece) Monclova, Robert Monclova and Jessie Monclova; his daughters, Alicia Monclova and Elvira Monclova; his brothers, Carlos (Josefina) and Mario; his sisters, Cecelia, Anselma (Tolin), Olga (Joe), Luz Elena, Velia, Elida, Elva, Carmen and Refugia; his grandchildren, Bradly, Andrew, Audrianna, Chanel, Cassius, Monica, Allison, Breanna, Brian, Nicole, Krissa and Antwonette; and his great-grandchildren, Christian, River, Natalie, Fayth, Nevaeh and Surinity.
Cremation will take place and Rosary will be recited Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, 414 N. Allen St. in Farmington with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, 414 N. Allen St. in Farmington with Father Timothy Farrell as celebrant. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 East Main St. in Farmington.
