Services for Jerry John Herrera, 36, will be at noon Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at St. Francis Church. Father Lalo Espinoza will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at St. Francis Church.

Herrera died December 29, 2020, in Gallup. He was born May 5, 1983, in Gallup.

Herrera received his GED and high school diploma. He was employed with Albertsons, Coca-Cola, and the City of Gallup. He was also a self-employed martial arts instructor.

Survivors include his wife Raysha Plummer Herrera; sons Mario Romero, Xavier Benton, and Azazel Herrera; parents Jerry F. Herrera and Louisa Ruiz Herrera; brother Felix Lopez; and sisters Sherry Chavira and Desiree Herrera Lucero.

Herrera was preceded in death by John S. Herrera, John Bertelle, Priscilla Sandoval Bertelle, Julian S. Ruiz, John Jr. Herrera, Joepaul Herrera, and Jackie Lynn Torres.

Pallbearers will be Xavier Benton, James Chavira, Jeremy Herrera, Ryan Lucero, Edward Rodriquez, and Mario Romero. Honorary pallbearers will by Azazel Herrera, Lexie Herrera, and David Romero.

Cope Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
