Jeannie, 73, passed peacefully surrounded by family July 12, 2016.

Jeannie Lee was born to Bit'ahnii (Folded Arm Clan) and born for Kinyaa'áanii (Towering House Clan).

Born April 30, 1943, in Aneth, UT, to Mary Ann and Harry Lee. Jeannie spent her childhood with her loving mother, Mary Ann. She later attended the Intermountain Indian School until eventually moving to Chicago, IL, to attend a technical school. Jeannie was a hardworking woman who was co-worker and friend to many employees at Fairchild Semiconductor Plant, YandS Candies/Hershey's (retired), Sunray Casino, Central Consolidated School District and Childcare Castle.

As she embarks on this final journey, she is survived by her children, Lorinda C. Peter (Fred) and Anthony G. Chee, as well as her 6 grandchildren: Tayliah, Danner, Keioshiah, Jennica, MaRiah and Sequoia. In addition to her immediate family, she is loved and remembered by countless relatives and friends.

Jeannie was an active member in her church, Maranatha Fellowship, in Farmington, NM, where she was known as a woman of outstanding faith, generosity, and unbounded kindness.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son (Joseph Chee) and 6 siblings: Dinay-Yazzie Lee (Hazel), Ben Lee (Bessie), Esther Begay (John K), Edith Lee, George Lee (Ruth), Ruthie Sammons (Clyde).

A viewing will beheld Saturday July 16th from 9am to10am, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 312 North Orchard Ave., Farmington; with the funeral service starting at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Trenton Platero, Lawrence Sammons, Jr., Randolph Sammons, Jason Sammons, Austin Tapaha and Jamal Dobey. Honorary pallbearers are Anthony G. Chee, Fred Peter, Danner Peter, Melvin Freeman and Joe Dobey.

Following the burial, please join the Family for a reception at St. John's Episcopal Church.

We would like to extend much gratitude to all that have shared their kindness, love and prayers to us during this time. Ahéhee'.
