Jeannie "Sandi" Dawes, 71, of Farmington, was called home by her heavenly father on Monday, March 16, 2015 in Farmington. She was born June 12, 1943, to Tsosie Castillo and Betty Cayaditto in Crownpoint. Jeannie graduated from Intermountain Boarding School, in Brigham Young, Utah. This is where she met the love of her life and married Toney Dawes Jr. on Sept. 29, 1962. Jeannie was a homemaker living in Salt Lake City, Chicago and Farmington before her passing. She attended Mass everyday and was a member of the Auxiliary Legions of Mary. She enjoyed SHOPPING, watching movies and spending time with her family. Jeannie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Toney; her children, Pamela (Dwight) Cuthbert, Michelle (Vandon) Pratt, Debra (Robert) Grady, Tim (Tyra) Dawes. She had a total of 18 grandchildren and 8 ½ great-grandchildren. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday March 19, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2100 E. 20th St. in Farmington. The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday March 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Frank Chacon as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made at Citizens Bank under Jeannie Sandi Dawes. Jeannie family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Syed Kazmi, Nurse Nancy Fisher in the ICU unit and Rosalie Maez at Cope Memorial Chapel for all their support in Jeannie final days.
