Bloomfield
Jared Glenn Clark Jr.
Feb. 23, 1993 - June 8, 2015
Jared Glenn Clark Jr. was taken from this world Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the age of 22. Jared was born in Farmington, New Mexico on February 23, 1993 to Jared Glenn Clark Sr. and Janis Brewton. Although Jared's life was cut short, in his 22 years he connected with more people and influenced their lives for the better than most people could in 100 years. Jared had an innate gift for making people feel important and welcomed everyone with open arms. Jared had many friends from all age groups and backgrounds and treated each person as an equal. It didn't matter if you we were 8 years old or 80 years old, Jared could connect with everyone on some level. Jared was a gentle soul with an enormous amount of empathy and compassion. Jared had an eclectic taste in music and listened to anything from symphony and opera to classic rock to Mexican mariachi to hip-hop and RandB. Aside from music Jared loved cooking, singing at the top of his lungs as he walked throughout the house, seeking out new adventures and being around his friends and family, immediate and extended. He loved history and politics and had very strong views and opinions about both. Jared's passion for all things drove his desire to learn and form educated opinions and he always encouraged others to do the same. Jared was intelligent beyond his years, enjoyed holding intellectual conversations, and debated with people twice his age. Jared had often said that his mind was an encyclopedia of useless trivia. Jared was a motivated worker and he worked hard for everything he had. He had a keen interest in the finer things in life like expensive wine, jewelry and designer brand apparel. Jared was pursuing a business degree from the Central New Mexico Community College and UNM. With this degree, Jared hoped to be in the human resources department for corporate companies. Jared excelled his schoolings throughout his entire life and accepted and conquered every challenge that came along with it. Jared was destined for greater things and had so much more to offer the world. Jared brought so much joy to many and left a huge footprint on this world.
Jared is survived by his father Jared Clark Sr. and his family, Melissa, Trent, and Chloe Reidle; mother Janis Brewton and her family, Shine, Jayme Retherford and Jimmy Brewton; grandparents Jim and Michal Stiffler, Jeff Clark, Lila Martinez and Tony Herrera; aunt Andrea Clark; cousin Morgan Clark; and other family and friends too numerous to mention.
Jared was preceded in death by his brother Andrew Clark, uncle Ryan Clark and uncle Jimmy McDonald. Jared may be gone in body but his bright spirit and memory will never be forgotten. Rest in peace sweet Jared Clark Jr.
A memorial celebration will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13 at his Bloomfield home, 10 Road 5024. Jared would want everyone to feel comfortable, so come casual.
"The Aztecs believed that life was only the beginning of an amazing journey that began only after death. Death released the human spirit to enter into heavenly paradise, free of pain, free of suffering, a place where only happiness can be found. Those who have lost are not gone their spirit lives on in each of us, everyone that Jared has touched and shared his kindness with has a piece of him with them and his strong soul survives through all of us. He is in a smile, the sunlight that kisses the earth in the mornings, a child's laugh, everywhere you look you will see him and so do not be filled with remorse for he has not left us behind, he is here, guiding us all through our journeys until we join him in sweet Nirvana. We love you Jared, a strong beautiful spirit and soul that lives on forever."
-Written in 2012 by Jared for another beautiful soul and adapted for him.
