Janeane M. Dickens of Aztec, NM, passed away on April 23rd, 2020 at the age of 72. She was born September 24th, 1947 in Gallup NM to Robert and Gwendolyn French and was the eldest of 5 children. She was a graduate of Kirtland Central High School in 1965. After graduating High School, she spent about a year with the FBI in Washington DC. On August 24th, 1968, she married Dick Dickens. They raised one daughter, Kerri, and two sons, Zane and Nathan, and she was very involved with her two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Garrett Dickens. She loved spending time with her family and was beloved by all including extended family and friends. She had a very infectious laugh and everyone that knew her has a funny story to tell (or two). She enjoyed reading books and crocheting - every 1st born child born into our family would receive a crocheted blanket as a gift from her. She is preceded in death by her brother Kim, Mother Gwendolyn, Daughter Kerri, Father Robert, and Sister-in-law Atsuko. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Dick Dickens; two sons, Zane and Nathan Dickens; daughter-in-law Deeanna Dickens; two adored grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Garrett Dickens; three brothers, Mike, Kevin, and Jon French; her Aunt Marjorie Cummins; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. A memorial will be organized at a later date, we appreciate all of the condolences and well wishes that we have received.
