Jamie Gaven Tolbert

Jamie Gaven Tolbert, 31, of Farmington, passed away Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, in Farmington. He was born Sept. 24, 1985, in Farmington to Marcy Carter and Troy Tolbert. Jamie was currently employed with the Farmington School District as a Maintenance Supervisor. He loved music and was a lead vocalist and guitarist with numerous area bands. He was an avid snow and skateboarder, he loved the outdoors, camping and swimming. But his proudest title was #1 Dad. His daughter and family was his greatest joy. Jamie was loved and will be deeply missed. Jamie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald and Sandra Carter. He is survived by his daughter, Chloe Tolbert; along with her mother, Martha Montgomery; mother, Marcy Carter and her spouse Bob Matney; father; Troy (Jane) Tolbert; siblings, Samantha (Danl) Crossley, Wesley Tolbert, Miranda (Gabe) Glatz, Stephen Allen, Jeremy (Rebecca) Phelps, Phillip Hesch and Jennifer (Mark) Lucero; grandparents, Kenneth and Marge Tolbert, and Loanna and Dave Janz, numerous nephews and nieces, best friend, Austin Jacobs; and other relatives and friends who survive him. A memorial service for Jamie will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Piedra Vista High School theater located at 5700 College Blvd. in Farmington. A celebration of life for Jamie will be at 6 p.m. the evening of Saturday, Sept. 23 at his mother's property, 71 Road 3086 in Aztec. In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank (#6855122898) to assist his family, as the Jamie Tolbert Memorial.
