In Memory of
Jamie J. Amos
1981 - 2016
Jamie J. Amos-Tafoya, age 35, was called to her eternal glory in heaven while at her sister's home in Maricopa, Arizona on Monday, October 10th, 2016. Initially diagnosed over 7 years ago, she won her struggle with cancer because death has been defeated in Christ Jesus. We give thanks to God for Jamie's faith resulting in salvation.
She was embraced so tenderly by her family and friends throughout her journey.
Jamie was born on May 2, 1981 in Farmington, New Mexico where she remained throughout most of her life. With Divine influence in a large and vibrant family her life was firmly rooted in love. She carried that love with her and shared it so willingly throughout life, always leaving behind a spirit of kindness, acceptance, and joy.
That spirit greatly impacted the team of Providence Medical in Portland, Oregon throughout her exceptional care.
We have been blessed by this precious soul that touched so many lives.
She was daughter to Gary and Sheryl Erickson. She was sister to Jodie Hickman, and Corina/Michael Bustamante, Michelle/Clay Phillips, and Kenny/Suzanne Erickson.
Her father Bryan Amos preceded her in death.
She was granddaughter to Harold (deceased) and Jo Beth Gamett, Linda and Clarence Grothe, Lloyd (deceased) and Nancy Thompson, Lee (deceased) and Edith (deceased) Erickson and Bill Amos.
She has numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was a very devoted "second mother" to Genevieve True-Tafoya and her niece, Kylie Hickman. She loved them as if they were her own.
Jamie was a committed friend to a multitude of people and dedicated employee in several settings.
Jamie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Farmington, NM and also a member of the Choctaw Nation.
