James George Yeager Sr., 83, of Blanco, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in Farmington. He was born Aug. 14, 1933, in Philadelphia, Penn. to Mary Yeager and Kenneth Yeager Sr. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of 10 years.
James was an elevator mechanic for 35 years; working for IUEC Local 5 in Philadelphia. His hobbies were fishing, dancing, boating, bowling and motorcycling.
James was preceded in death by his son, James G. Yeager Jr.; parents, Mary and Kenneth Yeager Sr.; brothers, Kenneth Yeager Jr., Edward Yeager and Gilbert Yeager; and his sister, Patricia Wagner. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice V. Serrano Yeager; sons, Kenneth Yeager and Edward Yeager; daughters, Theresa Yeager, Vonna Yeager and Barbara Yeager Crossan; brother, Jerry Yeager; sister, Lois Malcolm; and his grandchildren, Evan Yeager, Danielle Yeager, Corrine Yeager, Theresa Yeager, Jimmy Yeager III, Kate Crossan, Tess Crossan and Edward Yeager Jr.
A Mass for James will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 7378 U.S. Highway 64 in Blanco followed by a memorial service for James at 1 p.m. at Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec, 405 S. Main Ave. A celebration of James' life will follow at Trujillo's Bar, 7418 US-64 in Blanco.
