many other family members and friends. Jim was born on July 12, 1940, in Monticello, N.M. He grew up on the farm until the age of 10, where he learned to become a salesman by peddling fruit and vegetables door to door. In 1950, the family moved to Hurley,

After his Honorable Discharge in 1962, he went to work for the Roswell Police Department. Lt. James Schaffer left the department in 1972, moving to Farmington to work for Rainbo Baking Co. It is here he met his wife, Barbara and they married in l975. In 1978, James and Barbara went to work for 7-2-11 until 1995, when James retired and went to work for himself. He was the true

We lost a very good man on this day, he had a rough exterior and a big, soft
heart. He will be truly missed by all.
