James Leroy Richardson, 73, of Bloomfield, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, in Farmington. He was born Oct. 31, 1942, in Columbus, Kan. With great sadness and abiding hope, we announce the passing of Lt. Cmdr James L. Richardson, U.S. Navy, from this life into the arms of Jesus. An avid sportsman, Jim loved the Lord, his family, and giving anesthesia. He is survived by his wife, Sandi; daughter, Kim and husband Brad; daughter, Janice and husband Britt; grandchildren, Dustin, Abbey and husband Ben, Catie, Cameron, and Jacob; his mother, Margaret Richardson; mother-in-law, Laverne Thomason; and sister Beverly Karber. A viewing will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the First Baptist Church of Bloomfield, 200 W. Sycamore Ave. in Bloomfield, with Pastor Monty Mullenix officiating. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington. Pallbearers are Dustin Edgar, Cameron Jeffcoat, Ben Chesebrough, Louie Lasiter, Aubrey Wood, Randy Cooper; and Honorary Pallbearer, Jacob Jeffcoat.
