JAMES L. MOSBERGER
OCTOBER 6, 1919 - FEBRUARY 21, 2015
JAMES L. MOSBERGER, 95, of Aztec passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Four Corner's Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Aztec. James was born October 6, 1919 in Grayville, Illinois the son of Lemuel J. Mosberger and Semantha E. Taylor Mosberger.
James entered the US Army on January 22, 1941 and served 4 ½ years during WWII. He was a member of the 1st Armored Division in the campaigns of Africa, Sicily, and Italy. He fought in the latter country of Cassino, Rome and other rough spots. He won 5 battle stars.
James married Edna E. Goodin on April 4, 1942, they were married for 72 years. Edna passed away on July 11, 2014. He was a loving and devoted husband. They were inseparable and enjoyed sitting on their front porch swing. In his younger years, he loved to play softball and never missed a chance to play his Gibson Guitar with a little Midwest band called "The Blue Notes". James and Edna are again together, forever.
James was preceded in death by his parents and wife Edna Mosberger .
James leaves behind his son James G. Mosberger and wife Terri; step-grandchildren Michael Glenn Graff (Julie), Lyndsay Barrett (Steve) and 4 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will take place and memorial services are Thursday, February 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St. in Farmington with Pastor Johnny Spicer from First Baptist Church of Aztec officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #2182 of Farmington.
