James Tyler Lake

James Tyler Lake, 19, of Waterflow and Bloomfield, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in Farmington. He was born Aug. 16, 1994, to Robert Wayne Lake Jr. and Christina Mae Rich, in Farmington. He was born to the Lake Settlers of Waterflow.
He graduated in May of 2013. He loved all kinds of music, outdoors, camping, fishing, traveling, hiking and taking on new adventures. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and ATVs. James was involved in sports (soccer, basketball, football and wrestling) and played the trumpet in high school. He was in 4-H and showed lambs, pigs and a steer. He also did ceramics and leather crafts. James loved to ride horses and even the steers. He loved the ocean and dolphins. He was loved by all of us and will be truly missed.
James is survived by his parents, Wayne Lake and Christina and John Rich; brother Steven Jackson; sisters Brittany Lake and Shyla Jackson; grandparents, Robert and Linda Lake and Steve and Joy Gore; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 25, at Salmon Park in Bloomfield, behind Durango Joe's. Pastor Boyd Morod will officiate.
A reception will follow in the park.
