Jack Cunningham

Jack Cunningham, 90, born October 19, 1922, in Wichita Falls, Texas and resided in Allen, Texas. He passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Irene Cunningham, and one son, Ronnie Joe Cunningham. His surviving daughters are Jacquelyn Howe (Tucson, Arizona), Sharron Snow (Albuquerque, New Mexico), Patricia Boyd (Richardson, Texas). He has 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. He had lived in the Farmington and Bloomfield area for the last 60 years before moving to Texas. He and Irene had been married for 66 years. In their later years he was devoted in giving her loving care. He was a military veteran. He and Irene had a very strong work ethic due to the Great Depression. Jack was the manager for Cutahay Packing Company in Petaluma, California and then worked for Golden Bear Oil Co in Bakersfield. In 1955 they moved to Farmington where Jack started a small fruit market on South Miller, which became Jack's Market. He eventually owned and operated Bloomfield Produce Company. He also worked at Mitchell Construction Company, later owned Jack's Auto Sales, and then a fruit stand in Bloomfield, which included a red caboose used for a variety of food take out. he was a devoted OU football fan, loved fishing, gardening, working on tractors and playing with grandchildren. Jack was a very moral, hardworking man, who had a great sense of humor and loved his family. He knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and trusted the Lord for his home in heaven. His family loved him and gave him loving care. He will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends before the service. Memorial services will be at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, March 23, at Alternative Choice Funeral Home, 804 N. Dustin Ave., in Farmington. Interment will be at Memory Gardens, 6917 E. Main St., in Farmington.
