Dr. Jack Garey Ritchie
June 16, 1934 - June 6, 2015
Dr. Jack Garey Ritchie was born in Estancia, on June 16, 1934, and passed peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Dr. Ritchie had a wide and varied life; serving as a NM State Police Officer for 15 years, becoming a Podiatrist in 1978, practicing in Farmington, N.M. and raising and showing his prize winning long horn cattle. He was active in the Masonic Lodge and Elks Club. He served on the state board of Poditary, the Board of Directors for the BBB, the Board of Directors for the Farmington Chamber of Commerce. He was also vice president for the Texas Long Horn Breeders of New Mexico for two terms.
Dr. Ritchie was preceded in death by his wife Maria A. Ritchie; his parents Jack and Lela Mae Ritchie; sister Bobbie Jean Dodg; and daughter Cindy Kay Ritchie. He is survived by his sons, Steve M. Ritchie and Frank D. Ritchie; his daughters, Vikki M. Hucks, Antoniette Garner, Jody M. Haines and Debbie A. Ritchie; and many grandchildren.

A rosary for Dr. Ritchie will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday June 10 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomfield.
A Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday June 11, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bloomfield with Father Frank Chacon as celebrant interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Farmington.
