Inez (Parker) Truby, 92, of Bloomfield, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at San Juan Care and Rehabilitation Center in Farmington. She was born July 4, 1924, in Tulia, Texas, the daughter of Omer Clyde Parker, Sr. and Minnie Alma (Fox) Parker.
She always said she would live to be 100 years old, and at 92 she came pretty darn close! She lived a colorful and spirited life besides being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a master silversmith who crafted beautiful turquoise jewelry and was also a talented painter. Inez was spoiled by the love of her life, and she stayed sassy right up to the end. One week prior to going to her eternal home, she could still touch palms to the floor ... and now she is gone. Life is fleeting and fragile ... RIP Momma, until we meet again.
Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Truby Sr.; great-grandson, Tucker Truby; parents, Omer C. Parker Sr. and Minnie Fox Parker; brothers, Floyd Weldon Parker, Noel Ellis Parker and Omer C. Parker Jr.; sisters, Naomi Parker (infant) and Georgia Mae Crowder.
Inez leaves behind her sons, Robert Henry Truby Jr., (Rachel) of Bloomfield; daughters, Nancy F. (Brian) McEldowney of Lincoln City, Ore. and Trudy M. (Lonney) Johnson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many dear friends.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22nd at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington with Pastor Keith Corley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project - www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
Inez's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
