HOWARD W. REIDER
January 30, 1936 - December 21, 2016
Howard W. Reider, 80, of Bloomfield went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Rio Rancho, NM. Howard was born January 30, 1936 in Ignacio, Colorado to Frank Reider and Gladys Percell Reider.
Howard graduated from Ignacio High School in 1954. He worked for VCA in Durango, Colorado then BIA for 28 years. Howard retired from there. He attended First Baptist Church of Bloomfield. Howard served in the Army for 2 years, stationed in Ft. Benning, Georgia and Germany. Howard enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and horseback riding. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Howard will be greatly missed. Howard was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Howard was preceded in death by parents, brothers John Reider and Wesley Reider, and a great-grandson Aydan Carroll.
Howard leaves behind his wife of 58 years, June Reider; son Frank Reider (Velta), daughters Monna Doak (Greg) and Twila Reider; brothers Willard Reider and Wayne Reider (Janet); brother-in-law Charles Kerns (Sharon); sisters Thelma Ogston, sister-in-law Dixie Roberts (Greg), and Judy Reider; grandchildren Heather Carroll (DJ), Zoe Reider, Ariel Schaub, Rachel Montiel (Joey) and Nicholas Schaub; great-grandchildren Isaiah, Josiah and Tommy, Kyllian and Ashlynn, numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A celebration of Howard's life will be Wednesday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Bloomfield, 200 W. Sycamore in Bloomfield with Pastor Monty Mullinex officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 East Main St., in Farmington.
Pallbearers are Nicholas Shaub, D.J. Carroll, Joey Montiel, Steve Stromberg, Greg Roberts, and Greg Doak. Honorary pallbearers are Dwane Robinson, Cleve Nobles, Willard Reider, Jerry Armstrong, Ron Welch and Ed Wood.
