Henry A Barron

April 20, 1929 — January 4, 2015

Pastor Henry A. Barron, 85, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 in Bloomfield, NM, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born on April 20, 1929 to Dr. Henry C. and Emily Rose Barron in Corona, CA. He graduated college with a degree in Theology at Loma Linda University. His work as an evangelist took him and his family to numerous cities throughout the U.S. where he preached the Seventh Day Adventist faith. He married the love of his life, Pansy, in 1952 and they raised four children together. Henry was Ronald Regan's Prayer Minister for a short time and traveled the world. His main interest was traveling to the Holy Lands where he was baptized in the Jordan River. His great passion was singing gospel music. He and his brother, Richard, became well known as The Baron Brothers, singing and making numerous albums together. Henry was preceded in death by his wife Pansy; brothers Howard and Richard; sister Pauline; parents; daughter Cindy Barrow; and granddaughter Kelly Barron. He is survived by his children, David (Christie) Barron of Farmington, Jonathan Barron of Tennessee, Shari Twogood of Denver; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank all the staff of Bloomfield Nursing Home for the excellent care given to their dad during his last days. Words cannot explain how wonderful Henry was or the great gifts he gave to this world. Rest in peace, Papa. Services are pending in Arlington, TX for mid-spring. Henry is in the care of Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St., in Farmington. (505)325-8688
