Henry M. Archuleta, 94, of Bloomfield passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Vista Care Hospice in Albuquerque. Henry was born Jan. 9, 1918, in Turley, the son of Joe G. Archuleta and Sesarita Chavez Archuleta. Henry was in Military service from Aug. 1938 to Aug. 1945. After his time of service for his country, he became a self-employed auto mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, wood cutting, farming, gathering pinons and driving his tractor. He touched the lives of many; is and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Archuleta and a son, Henry L. Archuleta. He
is survived by sons, Joe and Lynn Archuleta and daughters, Irene Jeffries and Isabel O'Brien. He is also survived by a brother, Jim Archuleta; four grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited for Henry 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 307 N. Church St. in Bloomfield. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. with Father Bob celebrant. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chris Campbell, Ryan Campbell, Fred Garcia, Felix Valdez, Henry Valdez and Marino Vigil. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice Foundation, 7801 Mesquite Bend Drive, Suite 105, Irving, Texas 75063.
