Helen Eugenia Monahan passed away peacefully on July 14, 2015 with her daughters at her side. Helen was born in Bisbee, Arizona on September 10, 1929 to Alvera and Dan Peccolo. She grew up in Bisbee and married her high school sweetheart, James Monahan. Helen and "Jimmy" had three daughters, Sharon Cawood (Bill), Sylvia Monahan and Kathleen Monahan.
Helen was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She loved to garden, read, crochet, do leather work and spend time with her family. She was a quiet, selfless, gracious lady who provided a great example for her daughters.
Her parents, brother, Bill Peccolo, and husband of 62 years, James Monahan preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, Alisa Avery (Bodee), Alaina Parker (Jeff), Stosh Kozimor (Branden) and Zak Kozimor (finace Michelle) and great grandchildren; Colton, Draesen and Kodee Avery, Ciara, Alexsa and Camden Parker, and Ezra and Atticus Kozimor.
A funeral mass for Helen will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish, 414 N. Allen, Farmington, NM on Thursday, July 23rd. Burial will be in Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa NM. at 9:00 on Saturday, July 25th.
Helen's care is entrusted to Brewer Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute, Farmington, NM 87401.
