Harry Mason, 74, of Upper Fruitland, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015. He was born on June 8, 1941,in Upper Fruitland, to John and Daisy Mason. He was born to the Salt Clan and he was born for the Tangle Clan.
Harry worked at Utah International and BHP Navajo mine for 38 years. He retired as a drag line operator. He enjoyed hunting, farming, mechanics, riding horses and cattle ranching. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandkids play on the farm. Harry will be greatly missed by the lives that he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret A. Mason; son, Virgil E. Mason; and granddaughter, Evlanda "Landi" Mason. Harry is survived by his sons, Emerson C. (Susan) Mason Sr. and Farrell L. Mason; and his daughter, Virginia Mason; brothers, James, Charles and Raymond Mason; sister, Mary (Donald) Dodge; five loving grandchildren; nine amazing great-grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews and dear friends.
A visitation will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2 at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 1271 Mission Ave. in Farmington, with services to follow at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Chan O. Anaya officiating. Interment will follow in the Kirtland-Fruitland Cemetery, Road 6575 in Kirtland.
Pallbearers are Farrell L. Mason, USMC Sgt. Emerson C. Mason Jr., Ricky Golbe, Jeff Mason, Rayshaun Mason and Kenneth Dodge.
Harry's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
