Harold A. Golden, 95, of Farmington, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017, in Farmington. He was born on January 28, 1922, in Glenwood, Arkansas, to Della and Granville Golden. Harold graduated from Artesia High School. Shortly after, he met and married the love of his life Eloise. Harold enjoyed being a dedicated husband to Eloise for a blessed 73 years. He then began a 42-year career in the Oil and Gas Industry, primarily with Southern Union and Gas Company of New Mexico. He was a faithful member of the Methodist Church for 65 years. Harold enjoyed playing golf, gardening, fishing, hunting and making home improvements. He was deeply involved in the lives of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending games, activities and celebrations. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Granville G. and Della C. Golden; and four brothers. He is survived by his wife Eloise N. Golden; two sons, Bob A. Golden and David M. (Julie) Golden; grandchildren, Amy Douglas, Alan Golden, Andrew Golden, Haley Golden and Lance Golden; great-grandchildren, Cory and Carly Douglas and (Alan's son) and Andrew Golden. A visitation for Harold will take place on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cope Memorial Chapel of Farmington. A graveside service for close friends and family will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 am, at Memory Gardens, 6917 E. Main St., Farmington, NM, officiated by Methodist Minister Brian Adams.
