Harold "Lynn" Ealey

November 30, 1943 — October 26, 2015

Harold Lynn Ealey was born to Harold Ealey and Frances Aileen Wilson Ealey on November 30, 1943, in Alamosa, Colorado and grew up in La Jara, Colorado. After graduation from high school he moved to Denver, Colorado where he worked for King Soopers until retirement. He moved to Farmington, New Mexico in 1996 working for 7 Eleven on 30th and Butler Ave. until 2005.

"Lynn", as he was known by family and many friends, was a quiet man with a big heart. He started taking care of his elderly parents in 2003 and continued giving them loving care until their deaths, first his father in February 2006, and then his mother in August 2008.

Lynn had many friends that loved him dearly. He loved others and would give them the shirt off his back if he thought they needed it. He never asked for help and didn't want others having to do things for him. He never wanted recognition for anything he did - he preferred to just quietly do good in the background. He will be fondly remembered for his practical jokes, great sense of humor and the biggest heart around.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, sister Cora Marie Shawcroft and grandson Austin Michael Ealey. He is survived by his children Shelly (Paul) Battista, Sherry (Erich) Wolfe and Scott (Kara) Ealey. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jessica, Dominic and Theresa Battista; Brandon Ealey; Jeremy and Ashley Wolfe; Kianna, Jonathan, and Alexandria Ealey and great-grandson Greyson Ealey. He is survived by siblings Loraine (Lee) Thomas, Dennis (Marty) Ealey, Connie Dibble and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by the Kempton family and his neighbors in the Meadow View Mobile Home Park.

A memory sharing memorial will be held on November 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the McDaniel home located at 2502 North Hidden Valley Lane, Bloomfield, New Mexico 87413. Lynn's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., Farmington, (505) 325-8688
